Venezuelan Stefania Fernandez was crowned the 2009 Miss Universe pageant in the Bahamas on Sunday night, Aug. 23, 2009. Venezuela, a beauty-obsessed South American country, has won the Miss Universe pageant six times. Fernandez received the crown from last year’s winner, Dayana Mendoza, of Venezuela.
The Professional Regulation Commission announces that 1,680 out of 2,357 passed the Physician (Complete, Finals and Finals with Prelims) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao this August 2009.
